Business Bits - October 2011

The Greater Clairemont Chamber of Commerce held its monthly Business Networking Mixer September 13th at Sean Manatt’s Edward Jones meeting facility at 5375 Napa Street.  Clairemont area business men and women enjoyed great food and drinks provided by Sean and area restaurants Urbane Café and Sushi Freak.  Sean shared information on investing and several lucky people won door prizes.

The Chamber would like to express its thanks to Sean Manatt for hosting an informative and enjoyable get together for our Clairemont area business community.

These mixers are terrific opportunities for Clairemont businesses to promote their offerings while learning of other Clairemont area opportunities for goods and services. To learn more about the Greater Clairemont Chamber of Commerce, visit www.clairemontchamber.com, call (858) 634-0291 or attend the next mixer on Tuesday, October 11th which will be hosted by Cam Schultz at Embroidme , 7710 Balboa Ave. Suite 109.

Hey Clairemont, Jamaica is right in your backyard!

On September 19th, 2011, the Greater Clairemont Chamber of Commerce welcomed Mama Jamaica Café and Grill, 5447 Kearney Villa Road, to the growing family of Clairemont small businesses.  This is San Diego’s newest Caribbean-American restaurant, specializing in “Jerk” and Curry dishes.   Owners the Raynors have been in the restaurant business for over twelve years and want to create a destination, rather than just a place to eat out.

Don’t Send Your Pet to Jail When You Travel!

People who travel are often in a quandary over how to best care for their pets while they are away. Kennels saddled with a multitude of pets can meet their everyday needs, but often fall short in caring for your pets emotionally. Why should your pet go to jail when you go on vacation?

There’s another way: Paws`N Play Pet Camp. Paws’N Play uses a caring network of certified "host families" to care for pets whose families are away temporarily. Pet safety is a top priority with mandatory secure homes and continuous supervision, but beyond that, pets receive extraordinary attention in safe, loving, pet friendly homes. Paws 'N Play Pet Camp is a member of Pet Sitters International and the National Association of Professional Pet Sitters. Meet our “Host Families” at www.pawsnplay-pet-camp.com.

NOTE: Pet care is a growing industry in America. The demand is so strong that we're looking for additional host families in the Clairemont area willing to deliver our high standard of service.  Host families receive 50% of fees collected. For more information contact owner Pam Mathison at 888-320-PETS (7387).
