Clairemont Town Council - October 2011

It’s election time again! The Clairemont Town Council is currently accepting nominations for election to our Board of Directors. Although you may run for any office depending upon qualifications, we currently have openings for Central, South, and East Directors, as well as four (4) At-Large Directors. Qualifications and District Director maps for the Town Council can be found on our website at www.clairemontonline.com. If you would like to run for election, please e-mail contact@clairemontonline.com, or call 858-480-9430.

Joining the Clairemont Town Council Board is one of the most important leadership services you could provide to our community. Clairemont is the largest community in San Diego, which means there are nearly 80,000 of our neighbors who need a voice and a commitment to have their needs and issues heard.

Nominations will close after our October General Meeting on October 6th, and elections will take place at our November General Meeting. If you are unable to attend the November elections and would like to vote-by-mail, please contact CTC by visiting our website, or call 858-480-9430.

For our October Meeting, we will host State Assemblymember Toni Atkins for the first time as she updates Clairemont on the state budget, legislation, and fields your questions about the happenings in Sacramento. Also, former San Diego City Councilman Brian Maienschein will speak to us about Home Again, a United Way organization that is dedicated to finding solutions to deal with San Diego’s homeless population.

Looking ahead, the Clairemont Town Council is excited about hosting one of the very first 2012 San Diego Mayoral Forums at our November 3rd meeting. All the major candidates have been invited. It’ll be a chance to get to know who might be leading America’s Finest City for the next four years, so save the date now.
