Holmes Elementary School - New Principal’s Message

by Jonathan Saipe

I am extremely honored to be recently appointed Principal of Holmes Elementary.
I grew up in Clairemont and attended Cadman, Whitman, and Marston. Much of my childhood was spent playing baseball and soccer at the various parks, riding my mountain bike in the canyons, and hanging out at Clairemont Square.

My wife, Claudia, currently teaches 1st grade at Cadman Elementary. We have two children Kailey, age 3 and Evan, 11 months. We love to play at the park, feed the ducks, and reads lots of books. I enjoy all sports, weightlifting, mountain biking, and learning as much as possible.

I have worked in the district for 17 years, starting as a teacher’s aide. I then taught 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade respectively. Along with my classroom experience I have had leadership experience as a Peer Coach/Staff Developer, Project Resource Teacher, Beginning Teacher Support Provider, and Vice Principal.

Again, I am truly excited about being a member of your impressive school community. Please be assured of my commitment to honoring your accomplishments and my hope of contributing to even greater success in the future. You have my very best wishes for a year of extraordinary achievement.
