The Greater Clairemont Chamber of Commerce held its monthly Business Networking Mixer August 16th at the Residence Inn Marriot at 5400 Kearny Mesa Road. It was a very well attended event where Chamber members and their guests enjoyed great food and drinks provided by the Residence Inn. Several lucky people won door prizes as well. The Chamber would like to express its thanks to the Residence Inn Marriot for accommodating the many Clairemont businessmen and women who gathered to make and renew business connections.

Chamber mixers are terrific opportunities for Clairemont businesses to promote their offerings while learning about other providers of goods and services in the area. To learn more about the Greater Clairemont Chamber of Commerce, visit www.clairemontchamber.com, call (858) 634-0291 or attend the next mixer coming up on Tuesday, September 13th which will be hosted by Sean Manatt at his Edward Jones office located at 5375 Napa Street, San Diego, CA 92110

K-Co Construction, Inc., your local Clairemont remodeler, is proud to announce their entry into the 2011 Better Business Bureau’s International Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics. The award is given to one company from a field of over 100 businesses from throughout the U.S. and Canada. Each entrant has already been honored by their local BBB for their outstanding ethical business practices, so winners of the International Award are the best of the best when it comes to ethical business operations. K-Co became eligible to enter the competition upon winning a local Torch Award from the BBB of San Diego in 2010. K-Co is no stranger to the BBB’s Torch Award program. In their office, they proudly display 9 Finalist/Winner trophies they have won in the last 10 years, including an International Winner in 2004. They are a daily reminder to the K-Co staff of the standards the company upholds and a symbol to customers of the company’s values. The international winners will be announced in early 2012, so make sure to keep your eyes peeled for the update.
