Innovating Clairemont

We are full-speed ahead for our community on the Clairemont Town Council. Each and every member of the Board of Directors has been working diligently to energize and innovate our community, by doing things just a little differently.

Over the next few weeks, we are working to rejuvenate and revamp our Town Council website at ClairemontOnline.com. By integrating more social media elements to our website – such as Facebook and Twitter – we are hoping to construct a much more interactive experience for you whether you’re at home, or on the go.  A few weeks ago, we launched our new Twitter account @ClairemontTC, in the hopes you may follow us.

Not to be outshined with new technologies, we are in the beginning stages of bringing back our print newsletter for you at home. Albeit on a quarterly basis, we’re hoping this provides an opportunity for you to be better informed of current and future events happening in Clairemont, and help serve as a resourceful guide to local businesses, need-to-know contact information for the Town Council, and other public service needs.

For our next Clairemont Town Council meeting, we’re celebrating “Utility Month.” Actually, it’s not a real celebration more than it is our guest presentations just happen to be utility-oriented! SDG&E will present a look at their brand-new Energy Innovation Center, and will answer any billing questions you may have. Also, Verizon Wireless will provide a presentation concerning plans for their wireless facility at 6426 Mount Ada Road, and some Mira Mesa technology developers will show off CartSnap -- a notable application for smartphones that helps track and pinpoint stray shopping carts.

We look forward to seeing you on February 2 nd  (Groundhog Day), at 7:00P.M. in the Clairemont High School cafeteria.

Working for you, Clairemont!

Ryan Trabuco

President, Clairemont Town Council
