Gardens, Designs, and Endorsements
It’s March already, can you believe it? Spring Break is just around the corner, and as spring flowers begin to bloom and blossom, so do garden submissions for our annual Clairemont Garden Tour. If you have a garden you would like to submit for the Garden Tour, please contact Marne Tate at marne.ausen@gmail.com , or submit your garden at ClairemontOnline.com. This is one of our community’s biggest events, so participation is highly encouraged!
At our previous meeting, representatives from Verizon Wireless presented design proposals for the future look of their 130-foot tower on Mount Ada Road. After much discussion, we put the five (5) designs up for a vote on our website. We received over 100 votes from you, and just as many constructive comments and suggestions were submitted.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you – the Clairemont community – for your amazing response and input on the future design proposals. The Board of Directors will count and review the votes and comments that were submitted at our next Board meeting, and will then submit the winning design as our recommendation to you at our March 1 st meeting for endorsement. Once endorsed, Verizon Wireless can push forward with our design for the site.
At our next Clairemont Town Council meeting, representatives from Verizon Wireless will return to hear further input from the community on the winning design of the cell tower on Mount Ada Road. Also, we will hear from Kath Rogers, San Diego County Coordinator for Californians Against Sexual Exploitation (CASE) Act, a statewide initiative designed to strengthen penalties against human trafficking and improve Megan’s Law against online predators.
All are welcome to Town Council meetings, membership is not required (but encouraged!). We look forward to seeing you on Thursday, March 1 st , at 7:00P.M. in the Clairemont High School cafeteria.
Working for you, Clairemont!
Ryan Trabuco
President, Clairemont Town Council
