At 1:30 on Friday, March 30 th , with City and local Heroes on hand, Holmes Elementary School will stage their  6 th  Annual  H.E.R.O. Run.  We want you to be a part of the fun!

The days of candy bar sales are fading.  School budgets are being hit hard and chocolate only goes so far.  Bigger and bolder events are being staged to help bring necessary dollars into each school's discretionary budget.

The H.E.R.O. Run begins with the colorful Parade of Athletes—think Olympic Opening Ceremony. Each student will receive their own water bottle and t-shirt for participating. Students can win prizes for the number of laps around the track they run and for the amount of money they raise from sponsors.

The community is invited to help the school meet its goal of raising $20,000 by sponsoring a runner or by buying a corporate sponsorship.  Sponsorships are 100% tax deductible.  Depending on the level of sponsorship, business will be promoted with banners, flyers, business card or coupon placement, and t-shirt promotion. Sponsorships start at $100 and need to be received by March 20th to insure that the corporate name is included in all the promotional materials.  Contact Kerry Blum at   for sponsorship information and form.

The money raised will be used to for developing a physical fitness course as well as continuing to support music and arts enrichment classes and supplies.
