The Charter School of San Diego’s Clairemont location and the Clairemont Public Library, 2920 Burgener Blvd., San Diego, CA 92110 will be hosting their inaugural Science Saturday on Oct. 13, 2012, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Science Saturday invites children ages 5 to 12 to explore science in a fun-filled environment. The activities will investigate topics in earth, life and physical science.
Ms. Bersbach, a teacher at the Charter School of San Diego’s Clairemont location, will work closely with science students to develop a range of activities to engage younger children in their
discovery of science. The science students will teach chosen concept(s) and assist the attendees
in completing related activities. Each activity will cover a concept from the Science Content
Standards for California Public Schools for grades K-8.The Clairemont Public Library is committed to providing the community with enriching activities. As Saturdays are frequently reserved for family, “Science Saturday” will blend learning with family-oriented activities to initiate science exploration.
“Science Saturday” will be held on the second Saturday of every month at 10 a.m. Please be
advised some of the science activities are messy, so dress appropriately. The Charter School of
