Snow will fall in Clairemont this week on Wednesday, January 30th from 9:15 - 11:30 am on the campus of Cadman Elementary School, 4370 Kamloop Avenue.
Cadman Elementary is a public school within Clairemont that has struggled over the last couple of years with threats of being closed and lower test scores.
Under the new leadership of Principal Ballard, Cadman has achieved great strides. Mrs. Ballard, the staff, students and the community have worked together as a team and enthusiastically this team has accomplished record-breaking achievements. Cadman has become an Arts Focused School offering Art, Dance, Music and Theater to its students.
In the last year, Cadman has progressed by leaps and bounds. Cadman’s Academic Performance Index on the State Testing went up 92 points. Out of 228 schools in our district, Cadman was #1 in increasing student achievement! Our student attendance record is also high: 96.6%.
In celebration of the staff and student’s achievements, generous community donors have financially supported Principal Ballard and the staff in offering a “Snow Day,” for all to enjoy. We hope that you will be able to join us, in order to spread the news of the great achievements this school has made!
The snow will be created on site by Arctic Ice out of Santee. Sponsors of Cadman Snow Day are: Clairemont Town Council; Viejas Casino; Sandwich Emporium; First Choice Property Inc., Alex & Vicki Jones; Clairemont Senior Baseball League; Connor & Co., Holiday Gift Shop; Trish & Judy, Realtors; K-Co Construction, Inc.; Clairemont Community News; Ruth Johnson.
