6th Annual Taste of Morena Event Promises Food, Fun and Friends!

At what has become a “foodie’s” favorite event, several dozen Morena district restaurants will host “A Taste of Morena” tour on Tuesday, April 23rd from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. The collection of eateries will serve samples of a variety of cuisines to attendees including bistro, BBQ, Cuban, gastropub, Italian, Mexican, burgers, seafood, Thai, pizza, desserts and more. Three Old Town Trolley shuttles will transport diners to the restaurants of their choice on continuous loops from 5-9:30pm for FREE.

Tickets are $20 and are available at Cole’s Fine Flooring and Jerome’s on West Morena and the US Bank on Napa. Just 500 tickets are available, and every year this is a sold-out celebration.

Participating restaurants will serve attendees a wide variety of menu item samples, including old favorites and new delights. Joining the list of restaurants on the Taste of Morena for the first time are new restaurants Dan Diego's, Luce, and Papalulu's. Other local favorites that are new to the Taste are J&T Thai Street Food and the Home Brew Mart at Ballast Point. And speaking of beer, the Coronado Brewing Company's tasting room on Knoxville is another new stop on the shuttle route for the Taste of Morena.

Past year favorites participating again this year are Baci’s, Bull's Smokin' BBQ, NY Giant Pizza, Sardina’s, Bay Park Fish Co., Andre’s, Tio Leo’s, Off Shore Grill, J.V.’s, Plaza Donuts and Iowa Meat Farms-Siesel’s Meats. Brick By Brick will have “Taste” drink specials too. Even if you have attended a past Taste of Morena, with so many choices and lots of new spots to try, you won't want to miss this one! Buy your tickets now; there are only 500 available and this event sells out every year. Visit www.exploremorena.com for more information.
