By now many of you have heard about this wonderful event the AOBT Foundation is putting on in an effort to raise money for Academy student scholarships and to raise awareness of our program, getting more volunteers involved in our mentoring programs. Thanks to those who have already bought tickets! It is not too late to attend and support our students! Here are the details:
*WHAT: Champions By Design: 2nd Annual AOBT Foundation Fundraising Event
*WHEN: Saturday, August 24, 2013, 6:00 - 10:00 P.M.
*WHERE: Hall of Champions in San Diego's Balboa Park
*ENTERTAINMENT: Guests of honor former NFL Chargers safety Darren Carrington and long-time Cleveland Brown Jerry Sherk will share their passion for leadership and youth involvement, and stories about their NFL playing days. There will also be a jazz band, and a silent auction that includes items like Chargers tickets, Padres tickets, signed sports paraphernalia, bottles of fine wine and more!
*FOOD & DRINK: Tray passed hors d'oeuvres, lite dinner fare, hosted wine and beer.
*DRESS: Classy cocktail attire
*COST: $100 donation per ticket (tax deductible)
*TO ATTEND: You can purchase your ticket from any AOBT Foundation Board member (or me) by check or cash, or you can go to the Champions By Design event website and pay through PayPal.
