North Clairemont Library Events and Classes for July

Clairemont is home to no less than 3 branches of the San Diego Public Library. If you haven't been in a public library recently, you may be surprised to find out about everything that goes on there aside from borrowing books!

Documentary Nights  Tuesday, July 15th & July 29th @ 6:15pm.

Preparing for New Pet. Wednesday, July 16 @6:30pm. 
Animal care expert Elkie Willis from the American Humane Society will talk about the important factors to consider before inviting a new pet into your home. If you are thinking about adopting a pet, this class is for you.

Neuter Scooter Saturday, July 26-call for appt.
In Partnership with the Spay Neuter Action Project, we will be hosting the mobile clinic which can spay or neuter your pet at low cost. For appointment and information, call 866-772-9287.

Teen Program (12+)

Henna Tattoos! Friday, July 11 @4pm. 
Learn about and experience this beautiful, exotic, and temporary body art inspired by the traditions of India, Morocco, and the Middle East. Teens will need a signed permission slip to be tattooed.

Tiny Tot Stories Tuesdays @12:45pm. (Begins July 8th) 
Miss Marika hosts a special storytime for babies and toddlers using books, songs, rhymes, fingerplays, and simple games. Explore language with tots in an engaging way.

Toddler & Preschool Storytime  Every Friday @10:30 am.
A fun interactive storytime including books, songs, rhymes, movement & bubble time with Miss Karina!

Sign Language Storytime  Every Saturday @10:30 am. 
Ms. Jennifer uses the excitement and fun of signing to enhance the reading of well-loved children's picture books, sing-alongs and bubble time.

Reading Practice for Children 5+

Tales for Tails. Thursday, July 10 @4pm. 
Children can practice reading to rabbits, guinea pigs, and mice. Animals listen quietly.

“Ruff” Readers. Saturday, July 19th @9:30 am.
Children can practice reading to therapy dogs. These pets love to hear children read!
