Clairemont Chamber of Commerce News

The Clairemont Chamber of Commerce had a busy day this Tuesday, doing a ribbon cutting for the grand re-opening of Denny's at Clairemont Square in the morning and holding their monthly mixer in the evening.

Denny's has undergone a major update to its decor and the new look is fresh and warm. Also new for the restaurant is their membership in the Clairemont Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber's President, Mark Forsyth and Chamber board members Allen Boaz and Janet Poutre brought along the Chamber's ceremonial scissors for the event. An arch of bright red and yellow balloons framed the front door and an excited group of employees filled the doorway for the ribbon cutting.  A cheer went up as the big scissors did their job.

Later that day, Chamber members and guests gathered at Richard Morris' Century 21 office for the monthly mixer. Morris, who is not only a real estate agent but also one of the leading dealers in Beatles collectibles, gave the group a treat: a presentation from Cassie Crow of Productive Learning.

Cassie Crow
In a fun and fast-paced 30 minute workshop, Crow helped us understand how our thoughts might be holding us back from achieving the things we want in life. There were laughs and some powerful information was shared with attendees.

Rounding out the evening was a drawing for door prizes (including a vintage framed Beatles album!), pizza and great networking. Clairemont business owners and managers exchanged contact information, shared business leads and got to know one another.

The Clairemont Chamber of Commerce is Clairemont's business association, dedicated to supporting and enhancing the business community in our neighborhood.  If you own or manage any type of business in the area, you are invited to attend one of the monthly events (posted on the Chamber's website) and encouraged to join online and set up your business profile page.
