Rock 'n' Roll Marathon Comes to Clairemont and Bay Park Sunday: Full Info Here

The SUJA Rock 'n' Roll San Diego Marathon & 1/2 Marathon to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is this Sunday, May 31, 2015, bringing more than 30,000 runners and walkers to San Diego, in addition to tens of thousands of spectators, family and friends.

The Rock 'n' Roll Marathon is not your grandma's marathon; music every mile makes up the heart and “sole” of this event. Live San Diego bands will be performing a variety of music from alternative to classic rock, punk, funk and blues to jazz it up. The bands will keep the course pulsating as runners rock their way from start to finish! Check out the 2015 Course Entertainment here.

Here's a tip: you don't have to run 26.2 miles to enjoy the marathon.  Join the festivities! San Diego residents are encouraged to line the course to cheer runners, and enjoy the live music every mile of the course.

At the end of the race, all San Diego residents are invited to celebrate with the runners and top off the day with an epic FREE concert at Petco Park featuring O.A.R. as the Toyota Rock ‘n’ Roll Headliner ! The festival starts at 8:30AM* with a performance by Lost Prophets, followed by the Awards Ceremony at 10:15 AM*. O.A.R. hits the stage at 10:30AM* to rock the crowd at the Finish Line Festival at PETCO Park.  *All times subject to change

Concert admission is FREE and open to the Public. Entertainment to continue on Concourse from 12:00pm-2:30pm.

The community is also invited to visit the free Health & Fitness Expo at the San Diego Convention Center as well. New in 2015, a 5K will take place on Saturday, May 30 at Balboa Park. Most of the road closures will be inside the Park. Minimal closures will take place on 6th Avenue.
