On Saturday August 1st and Sunday August 2nd 2015, visitors will be able to get “up close and personal” with these wonderful creatures and learn about their proper care and how to adopt (no animals are sold).
Admission to the annual show is free and it will be held at Balboa Park in Casa del Prado, Room 101. The show will run on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Beautiful plants, delicious baked goods, refreshments, great t-shirts and other turtle related items will be available for sale. All proceeds from our show go to benefit turtles and tortoises.
We invite you to join us at the show!
About Our Animals & Our Society
Turtles and tortoises are the reptiles most affected by the pet trade. Worldwide, many species suffer from loss of habitat, killing for food and traditional medicines and industrial fishing operations.
The San Diego Turtle and Tortoise Society is a federally registered non-profit comprised of individuals dedicated to preserving wild populations and promoting knowledge about proper care that will improve the lives of animals in captivity.
On a daily basis, the Society is involved with education and rescue, rehabilitation and adoption of turtles and tortoises of all kinds.
For more information about the San Diego Turtle & Tortoise Society, or about adopting an animal, being a volunteer or making a donation visit us online at www.sdturtle.org.
