Clairemont High’s baseball program has gone through a cycle of changes and turned around for the better in 2015. Compared to a growing, inexperienced varsity team last year, the team this year had many experienced players and lots of up-and-coming underclassmen ready to maintain a strong program for the future.
The dedication of newly appointed head coach, Mike Peña, an Alumni of CHS, and the hard work put in by each player led to a successful season and created new standard on what it means to be a Chieftain baseball player.
The Chieftains finished out the year with a record of 11 wins and 16 losses, a fairly better performance than over last season’s record of 6 wins and 21 losses.
