Making Magic With Music in Clairemont

The California Women’s Chorus is coming to San Diego for their annual choral convention. Would you like to sing with them?

Then come and learn all the 3-part “ … Regards To Broadway” Hits with Sweet Harmony Women’s Chorus every Thursday, 9 am to noon at the North Clairemont Recreation Center, 4425 Bannock St. 92117.  Spring session begins February 4, 2016. No auditions required, drop in anytime.  \

Sweet Harmony Chorus is a women's choral group in San Diego. Our repertoire is 'Bach to Broadway' in 3 to 4- part harmony.  We have an open-door policy and new women singers are always welcome.

Sweet Harmony has been making MAGIC with music for over 50 years in San Diego. We currently perform at the end of the spring and fall semesters- April/May/early June and December. As members of the California Womens' Chorus we participate in annual conventions all over the state where vocal student scholarships are awarded. All choruses join together for a mass public concert.

In March we’ll have an area rehearsal with other choruses from Southern California.  Then, at the 4 Points Sheraton on Aero Drive April 29th and 30th we’ll  all practice with Director Tom Barich, almost 200 of us from around the state.   On May 1st, we’ll sing our concert for San Diego and present this year’s Vocal Music Scholarships to area students.

Our Director for over ten years is Barbara Hoeschen and our accompanist is Nancy Flynn. Many of our members have sung with the chorus for over 10 years, some more than 30!  As one member says, "We have busy lives and families, but the one thing we always make time for is THE MUSIC."

Some of our favorite venues are retirement and nursing homes where we can bring the JOY of our music to those who need it most.

Dancers welcome to join our chorus dance troupe.
