
Armstrong Garden Centers invites California gardeners of all skill levels to its upcoming community classes. Fall community educational workshops will be held throughout the month of October.
Each workshop will encourage attendees to nurture their green thumbs with a wide range of topics to get ready for fall. Classes will be held at all store locations throughout California (except the Irvine outlet, where no classes will be hosted).
Armstrong Garden Centers scheduled workshops for October 2016:
Saturday, October 1 at 9:00 a.m. – Cool Season Veggies & Herbs – There are wonderful assortments of healthy, great tasting vegetables to plant for fall, winter and early spring. Attendees will find out which varieties are best to plant. No registration required for this free class.
Wednesday, October 12 at 10:00 a.m. – Pumpkin with Succulents Make & Take – Create a fun and unique planter for any porch or patio using a carved pumpkin. Registration and a $49 fee are required. Click here to register for the class.

Saturday, October 22 at 9:00 a.m. – Top 5 Perennials – Armstrong's team of experts will share the secret power of perennials. Perennials create change, interest and add excitement to any garden. No registration required for this free class.
Saturday, October 29 at 9:00 a.m. – Kids Halloween Make & Take – This free class is sure to be a treat for parents and children alike. Kids will transplant a colorful flowering plant into a Halloween inspired container. Basic gardening principles will be introduced. Registration required as space is limited, but there is no fee to attend. Click here to register for the class.
Each class will be instructed by a certified nursery professional who will offer timely gardening advice and hands-on demonstrations. Classes are open to gardeners of all skill levels. Armstrong Garden Centers also offers free garden talks from its team of experts for local gardening clubs, homeowners associations and other community groups.
