Some people have all the fun— Sunshine Blake was one of those people. |
"I picked up my love of books from visiting the North Clairemont Library as a young boy in the 1970s. My mom would take me there once a week and I dreamed that one day I would write a book," says Lee Silber, a Madison High School graduate (1983). Well, Silber has not only written a book, he's penned 21 since his first title, "Dating in San Diego" was released in 1991.
"My newest novel is by far my most important book to date," says Silber. He began working on "Sunshine" after his longtime friend was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer and asked him to tell her story. The result is a novel based on the life of Barbara "Sunshine" Blake that is both entertaining and inspiring. The book is the true story of a woman who overcame hardship to succeed in business, mix and mingle with movie stars, perform in Nashville, travel the globe, and raise two sons as a single mom... and that's only the half of it.
The book is available on Amazon as a paperback and for Kindle.
